Intro to Dooyeweerd's Transcendental Critique
This recording (in two parts) was made on 10 October 2005 at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, by Xiaomei Ge. It is a lecture by Dr. Henk Geertsema, given in the International Masters in Christian Studies of Science and Society program (IMCSSS), on Herman Dooyeweerd's transcendental critique, in light of our reading of the first two chapters of Dooyeweerd's book In The Twilight Of Western Thought. See a sort of summary, under the second subheading here. You may also find helpful a section from the preface of another of Dooyeweerd's works here. Each recording is about 40 minutes. The files are quite big, so if you have a slow computer, you may have trouble playing them. [audio file link] These are made available here with the permission of Dr. Geertsema under the condition that exclusive responsibility and all liability for their release remain with me.
